About the concert
After more than a month and some forty shows across Asia, Arvid Jullander Trio is back in Sweden. They return with new experiences, new music, and a band locked tight after gigs stretching from Bangalore to Tokyo and Hokkaido.
The trio's usual mix of jazz standards and well-loved pop covers now shares the set with brand new material, written under blossoming cherry trees in the suburbs of Osaka — music shaped over hundreds of hours on bumpy Indian back roads and in late-night Japanese basement clubs.
Arvid Jullander has been a fixture on the Scandinavian jazz scene for well over a decade, and picked up the Monica Zetterlund Scholarship in 2018. The trio is rounded out by Leo Lindberg on piano and Adam Ross on drums, with vocalist Alexander Lövmark — winner of the 2017 Montreux Jazz Vocal Competition — joining as a guest.
