About the concert
Lina Lövstrand is one of Sweden's most sought-after woodwind musicians. For the album Woodwind Stories she wrote eight original compositions for the full woodwind register: flutes, recorder, bass clarinet and more. The instruments are layered and voiced against each other as an arrangement in themselves, equal parts groove and wit. "Lina Lövstrand gives jazz a new dimension," wrote Dalademokraten.
At Fasching, Lövstrand is joined by Per Texas Johansson – a meeting between two of Sweden's most accomplished woodwind players, with constellations ranging from bass clarinet against bassoon to recorder against bass flute.
