About the concert
In December, it will be ten years since the Swedish godfather of blues and soul music passed away – Sven Zetterberg! To mark the occasion, the Stockholm Blues Association is dedicating next year's Trettondagsaftonsblues entirely to Sven's memory, with a full-scale tribute concert!
A stellar house band led by bandleader Greger "Knock-Out Greg" Andersson, with members from various eras of the Sven Zetterberg Blues Band, delivers two blazing sets built from Sven Zetterberg's songbook. The night also brings a run of guest artists: Eric Bibb (US), Knut Reiersrud (NO), Marino Valle (SE) and Knock-Out Greg (SE), plus the odd surprise!
During the interval, the Sven Zetterberg Prize is awarded as always by the Sven Zetterberg Blues Foundation, to a person, band or organisation that has worked to promote blues music in Sweden.
The evening is hosted by musician and MC Tommy Moberg, who also led the memorial concert at Fasching in 2017. Welcome to what promises to be a night to remember, dedicated to a bluesman worth remembering!
